Appearance; The Replica is a somewhat tall teenager, with a strong, fairly muscular build. He has shoulder-length hair of a silver color, with bangs that hang just above his eyes, which are a turquoise color. His skin is a peach tone, but by no means pale. As far as attire goes, he is generally seen in a skin-tight attire, making his muscles easy to see. The chest area is a dark blue with a heart-shaped emblem, and the main body is black, though the lower arms are red, and the fingers blue. around his waist is a belt, which connects to a tattered, white 'cape' (or skirt if you prefer) that has purple tips. Attached to this 'cape'are two more belts that form an X shape in front of his abdominal region. Lastly, he wears boots, which are a dark blue with black, V-shaped borders at the top, and black soles.

Personality; Snarky, stubborn, arrogant, and occasionally obsessive are great ways to describe the Riku Replica. Due to being a clone of Riku, he inherited traits of his personality, but he is often a bit more violent in his behavior, as shown by how he would easily fight Sora just to keep Namine safe, or his inevitable attack on Zexion, and then Riku. Essentially, if someone were to threaten Namine, or others he could potentially care about, he would lash out at them without much thought.

Typically, the Replica uses sarcasm and snark, and he even taunts others. For example, when he and Sora met up in Castle Oblivion, he made an attempt to taunt him with Namine’s good luck charm and also kept on stating how Namine no longer wished to see him. Then, with Riku, he often considered him weak and a coward, due to his supposed “fear” of the darkness, even going so far as to say that he was better than him and claiming that he was just 'new' upon his first defeat.

Though he inevitably learned that his memories were fake, he still held onto his promise, given that, despite having many of Riku’s memories, the promise belonged to himself and nobody else. To that end, he is incredibly dedicated to Namine and his promise. Despite this resolve, however, it’s likely that he still held a bit of bitterness towards his original, which allowed Axel to persuade him into killing Zexion and also led to his attack against Riku himself. This seems to have changed after his defeat, however, for, despite the fact that he was fading away, he remained calm, even giving one last remark towards Riku before he vanished.

Abilities/Strengths; First and foremost, the replica is very fast. Because of his dark abilities, he is able to move much quicker than Riku and jump rather high. He uses these to his advantage with his sword-oriented style, which is single handed and abrupt.

One of the replica's most obvious strengths is his control over darkness. Unlike Riku, who suffered with his own darkness, the replica uses it freely and without restraint, given his belief that it makes him 'stronger'. Due to this, not only is he able to wear a similar armor to Riku 's dark mode, but he also has all of the extra attacks that come with it. To be more specific...

Dark Corridors - these allow him to teleport from one area to another with ease, simply by stepping through the darkness.
Dark Firaga - When using this attack, the replica tosses what are essentially dark flames, one of his more powerful attacks
Dark Aura - by far his strongest attack. When using this, he floats up into the air and rapidly slahses at his foes numerous times before hitting the ground and launching something similar to dark firaga upwards.

Additionally, he can combine a dark-firaga like substance with his swordplay. An example of this is a technique where he strikes the ground, shooting forth shockwaves of dark substance, typically two forking in opposite directions.

Physical abilities aside, the replica's strong dedication can, to an extent, be seen as a strength, for he manages to keep his promise to Namine, even after learning that he is a fake. It proves that, in spite of learning that he isn't truly Riku, he's willing to...somewhat accept it, at least until Axel sways him otherwise.


Weaknesses; The Replica's main weakness is that of a personal level. He is incredibly stubborn and, for the most part, won't change his mind once a goal is in sight. For example, while he was under the influence of his fake memories, he would not listen to Sora's pleas about Namine, preferring to fight for the sake of his (supposed) promise. With that in mind, he is also very, very violent and extreme in his behavior, often not thinking about the consequences of his actions, or how it would affect the feelings of others. ie: he was so intent on defeating Sora that even when Namine pleaded, he was willing to strike at him. Also, much like Riku at the time, he is easy to manipulate, thus, if offerred something that would seemingly be worth his while, he would accept unknowingly.

Notable Possessions; Because of the fact that Namine's charm turned into the destiny island card, the only possession the replica has is his Soul Eater, a weapon that can be summoned at will.

History; The Replica's story began in Castle Oblivion, when the Organization member Vexen created him as a tool, to aid them against Marluxia and, in part, to trick Sora. At first he had no memories of his own, but all of Riku's abilities; little is shown of him during this time. However, it was then that he confronted Riku for the first time, claiming to be superior, just as real as he was, and above all else, not a 'coward'. Of course, he was defeated, though he had his own excuses... but due to this defeat, he would later be given a false set of memories by the 'witch' known as Namine.

These memories were essentially copies of Riku's own, but with a few tweaks here and there. First and foremost, alongside Sora and Kairi, his memories also included Namine, who also grew up with them on the islands, or so he had thought. With Namine came a promise to protect, and it was this so-called promise that would drive him to not only guard Namine, but to confront his 'best friend' and fight him, because, as far as he was concerned, Namine didn't wish to see Sora. Of course, like with Riku, he was defeated, though he would face Sora three more times, each time unswayed by the Keybearer's pleas.

However, after four defeats, Namine began to plea, and when the replica didn't cooperate, his heart was smashed, and he seemingly became a lifeless doll...

...until, out of the blue, he approached Marluxia, protecting Namine in spite of all that had happened. Although he had been smashed, he continued to hold onto his promise because, even if it was fake, it was still his to keep.

When Sora went to face Marluxia, he remained with Namine, protecting her, but as soon as Marluxia was defeated he left. Even so, he said that Sora was a good person, and that he didn't need to be real to see that.

And so he wandered the halls of Castle Oblivion aimlessly until Axel found him along the way, and, somehow, was able to persuade him to destroy an Organization member by the name of Zexion, absorbing his power in hopes of becoming his own person. Following this, he approached Riku in the simulated Twilight Down for one final fight, but even zexion's strength wasn't enough to redefine him. In the end, Riku had won, and the replica began to fade. As he disappeared into darkness, he asked where his heart would go, since he was just a replica... and for once, Riku seemed to almost 'comfort' him. His last words were said with a smirk, and it seemed that he had been on...decent terms with his original in the end.
